Do the Blogging

July 16, 2009

So. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Heh. So, school’s over. I miss a lot of people, but that can’t be helped. I’m glad that I’ve gotten the chance to still keep in touch and hang out with some of my friends. The ballers mainly. And the few here and there like Ngoc, Andrew, Donut, Steven, Thong, Jesse. Oh and Angie. Haha. I’m glad she enjoys my company enough to call me out to hang. And then there’s Jack whose house I’ve gone and crashed a few times. The Chuong family is so awesome. Mother Chuong gave me alcohol. =O But this is only a fraction of the people I want to see. Like Alex and his staves. And Kerry, my car buddy. And Betty, who still owes me big moneys. And Jenn, her royal buffness. And Robia, my prom date. And Berto, because I can talk to him about all sorts of stuff. And Eddie, because he’s hilarious. And Douglas, because, well, he’s Douglas. And Thomas, the weed guy. And all the other people whose names currently elude me. D= I hope to see everyone this summer. I still need to sign yearbooks and get mine signed by people! Gah.

Let’s see. What have I done over the summer. Grad night was at the beach, which was fun and a cheaper alternative to Disneyland. Umm. Oh yeah. We went bowling twice since we got out of school. The first day, we learned the technique of spinning the ball. We as in David, Ricky, and me. It was awesome. AWETHUM! The second time, Danny picked it up quickly. I think we’ll be going like every Sundays now. Maybe haha. It’s so fun. Hmm. We also had a barbeque Laker’s Finals day. Where we bought a good 70 dollars of meat and and condiments. For 6 people. Needless to say, we had chicken fajitas, Kalbi short ribs, and some sort of beef for lunch, linner, and dinner. And we still didn’t finish everything. Almost though. We’ve also had our 4 hour Pokemon Monopoly games, Stratego, Texas Hold ‘Em. Which reminds me. Someone owes me a McGangBang. In case anyone doesn’t know what this slightly offensive sounding thing is, it’s a McChicken covered with Big Mac sauce in between the patties of a Double Cheeseburger. =L Droolworthy. And I’ll let you figure out why it’s called what it’s called. Let’s see here. What else have I done over the summer, besides playing ball. Oh and side note. Headbands suck up all and I mean all the sweat above it. Awethum. We saw Transformers 2 in IMAX. Which blew my mind. The movie isn’t all that great, but it’s a welcome rush of action, Megan Fox, and corny comedy. Other than that, we ate. Alondra’s, B-Man’s, Islands, Top’s. Yeah. Nothing really exciting.

There was something on my mind but I forgot what it was. So yeah. Oooh. I remember now. Summer projects. I finished the building of my Dancer. It’s a longboard. 55 inches of wood. Haha. That’s dirtyyyy. It’s clear coated with 2 coats as of now. Jesse’s going to draw something up on the bottom. I think it’s DK related. By the way. DK is fking awesome. I challenge anyone in Super Smash Bros. Original. I’ll smash you with DK. But yeah. After Jesse’s done. I might add a little extra something depending on how it looks. And then I’ll add another few coats of gloss and then wet sand it for a really nice finish. The griptape design I’m thinking of is to use shoeprints and arrows sort of like dance steps. It’ll be dope. Another thing I’m working on is a Sun Jar. It’s basically a mason jar with frosted glass that uses a solar panel on top to store power into the batteries. Which then, as it gets dark, turns on the LED light thanks to the light sensor on top. The frosted glass will give the light a soft glow. Jenn showed me this from Urban Outfitters. It was pretty much 50-60 dollars with shipping. It looked very nice but the price was outrageous. Then I offered to build her one or a few. Depending on how many she wants. **Long Instructions You Might Want To Skip Alert** It’s fairly simple. You take a solar light. The cheap ones from Home Depot. You take your time and extract the solar panel with a utility knife and some determination. They like to smother it with this rubber sealant that’s a bitch to remove. And you cut out the battery holder thing so it’s nice and compact. I had to use a Dremel to cut the plastic. Then you find a jar with a sealing lid that will fit the panel. Remove the lid and spray the jar thoroughly with glass frosting spray. You can also use stencils to put in designs and/or letters for a message. Let that dry and glue the battery holder tot he solar panel. And then glue the solar panel to the lid with a clear silicon glue. Close the lid to make sure everything fits snugly inside the jar. Let that set and then you’ll be ready to store some sunlight.**End Of Long Instructions** We’ll see how those come out. I need something else to make.

I don’t know the point of this post anymore. I guess it’s just a little update on the boring life of Darwin Wu. Heh.
